Wireless Video Surveillance System for a medium sized Airport

This System is produced in response to customer's request to produce a wireless digital video surveillance system for medium sized Airport authority.

- 22 cameras

- Point-to-Multi Point

- 1.34 - 1.47 GHz

- Broadcast quality - Server Identification

- Control room is near to the Tower in the upper room of the main building

- SOLAR powered;

- Turnkey solution.

The Technology

The most efficient and competitive solution will be provided based on a point-to-multi-point video surveillance system, called “TurboWave”. This system is providing broadcast quality video images, is very robust to noise and interference and provides the highest quality/price ratio on the market.

The proposed technology is future proved and the proposed system will allow future upgrades for more cameras or for additional data/VoIP services without expensive new hardware installations. Furthermore, if required, it will be possible to add data and VoIP services even during the initial phase 2 of the project.

The major advantage of the proposed technology is in the use of three key components:

- MPEG-2 video compression system for broadcast quality video compression;

- OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Modulation) for robust data transmission for mobile and multi-path non-line-of-sight radio channels.

- High quality video cameras that during the day time produce colour images and at night produce black and white images with night vision features.

A DVB-T Broadcasting system for a closed User Group

1. The system requirements are as follows:

- High quality video broadcast images to be transmitted from 3 churches located in various places in the city

- One encrypted and protected programme needs to be delivered to 500 various locations scattered over the city

- The choice of the programme to be transmitted will be determined by a controller at the central station);

- Between the programmes and advert or an image will be transmitted;

- The system should be able to support future expansion

2. The Proposed Solution

The above requirements could be met in the most efficient way by the network described below:

- 3 churches are equipment with COFDM transmitter unit which will guarantee the superior quality of images;

- these images are collected at the central point, using COFDM receiver modules;

- All 3 video signals will be connected to the video multiplexer/server which will be controlled by a network manager;

- The server will have a capability for further expansion in case more programmes need to be delivered (for example from the mobile camera outside the church and from a new church, etc);

- The signal from the server will be encrypted, encoded and send to a DVB-T (terrestrial digital video broadcast) system for broadcasting to over 500 receivers;

- The use of DVB-T standard will guarantee that the broadcasting will be of the highest quality and secure from unauthorised viewers;

- The set-top boxes located at customer premises will be able to receive both the private network broadcast from the churches and any other digital terrestrial TV broadcasting that may exist in the area.

A Video Surveillance System for a Printing Plant with Printing halls and outside areas

1. Overall System Requirements

The overall system requirement were as follows:

- High quality video images to be captured from ourside areas in various places of the Production plant and inside the Production halls

- The recording of all videos and the remote control of the speed dome cameras, placed outside

- The system should be able to support future expansion

2. The Solution with a single Coax Bus inside the halls and wireless video transmission for the speed dome cameras outside

The above requirements could be met in the most efficient way by the network described below:

- 12 cameras (Speed Dome) outside and 16 cameras inside will transmit the video signals to 2 DVR recorders, each with a capacity of 16 video inputs.

- the speed dome cameras outside are scanning continously the areas and, in connection with a motion detector, give alarm of any intruders or movements, moving in the selcted areas.

- these images will be collected and stored in a digital form on HDD drives with high capacity

- the speed dome cameras can be switched to maual mode and be controlled wireless with control units in Pan-Tilt-Zoom
